Warm Vinyasa Yoga in Portland
A 60-minute open-eyed moving meditation of breath and awareness.
Warm Vinyasa Flow
Offered several times per week in SE Portland. See schedule.
Warm Vinyasa is a dynamic 60-minute flow where postures move together with smooth, breath-led transitions. Warm, but not as hot as the Original 26+2 — you'll still feel the heat working through every layer of you.
We move through familiar vinyasa shapes — sun salutations, standing poses, balances, twists, and gentle backbends. The focus is on presence: feeling strength grow where it's needed, and softness where it's been missing. It always comes back to the breath.
Every class is a little different, shaped by the energy in the room and the people in it. The pace ranges from gentle to vigorous, but the emphasis is always on moving meditation with a supportive soundtrack. Energizing, grounding, and open to all levels.
The rhythm of breath and body moving in sync …
This is the heart of vinyasa in the heart of Sellwood.
The word means “to place in a special way.”
Each posture and each transition is an expression of mindful self awareness that comes from the inside out.
Vinyasa has roots in the teachings of Krishnamacharya and his students, who emphasized breath, sequence, and internal heat as tools for transformation.
The goal is increased awareness. More today than yesterday, more tomorrow than today. Learning happens when you let go of what you used to think and adapt to new knowledge.
